Created by congress in 1970, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is an agency of the United States Department of Labor. OSHA works to protect almost all private and some public sector employees in the United States.   OSHA enforces their safety standards through various projects including employee safety training, whistleblower programs, and direct enforcement. OSHA safety training is designed to educate employees on the hazards in their workplace.
